Ay dave will these work on the vq30det from a nissan cedric y33???

 

What wires in the ecu do i plug this into anyone know? The exact consult wires.. i'm running a z32 ecu with no port or whatever plug. Cheers. Colour codes or ecu number pwires would be great.

 

If its newer than 96, it is an OBD II, and so the answer is no. Pre '96, it should be ODB, and so it should be yes.

However, they are both sold\spoken for.

 

get an ecu pinout, and look for rx/tx/clock (and check, but its not needed for computer diagnostics), as well as ign switched power and ground (normally at one side of the pinout). then see http://www.ecutalk.com/images/consult_car.jpg to wire up

 

Hmmm what does "CHECK" do? Is it essential that it is connected?

 

its for manually flashing the codes on the MIL or led on ecu from memory. its not needed for computer diagnostics, consult cables dont have a pin in that place (only the other 5)
