Came up against one last night rego EL 002, and beside the driver been a bit of a grumpy old bloke, must say it seemed very weak for a 3.5L... I know the driver was showing off AND still the car didn't seem to impress at all. Then once we found a pair of free lanes, the skyline was made to look more like something subura would make and call a wrx... nothing in it. Looks more like a cheaper 4 cyclinder version of the 350Z rather then its own range of car ??? What happened to the good old days of different cars for different needs ? Why are ALL cars now trying to be roadsters and all look the same ??? Anyway i was really looking forward to checking out a new skyline as they have always been some of the meanest looking bastards on the road and the new skyline should probably be called R-WTF... sorry almost cried when i saw the new skyline range has had the nuts cut right out of them. Hey as Baz always saws, it's all about the balls right ??? Adrian
skyline well i guess thats what you get these days, Nissan is now owned by Renault (44.4%). a new skyline with a v6 and no turbos.. its just not right. lets c what they do when they bring out the gtr version. rumors v8 twin turbo but who knows.
Yeah but they've kind of seperated their GTR and the rest of the Skyline range so the GTR is the crazy sports car and the Skyline is just some family car that might manage to go at a fair speed.. Don't think it's really comparable to R32-R34...
The magazine I bought on the new skyline claims a 400kw GTR version with electronic wastegate actuators and heaps of other cool stuff like anti-lag, kick ass suspension etc.
Re: The magazine I bought on the new skyline claims a 400kw GTR version with thats what they claim but it will never happen.. not that much power, wouldnt make it into any countries
The magazine I bought on the new skyline claims a 400kw GTR version with Nissan would be dreaming if they think they can achieve that sort of power output with their stock engine. From what Ive heard its more like 335kw also they are already having trouble passing enissions.
