my soarer sits about 50mm off the ground when the suspensions on LOW oneday dad decided to "go for a cruise to the shops for milk".. came back with nasty deep scratches on the front LIP, he did the same thing as your mum, drove onto a concrete block in the parking bay thinking he had his 5 meter high jacked up pajero.. i was like.. OHHH FOR SHITS SAKE !! $500 FOR A REPSRAY HERE WE GO !
my grandad loved my zed more then anyone in my family. reason was with the roof off being old he could turn sideways and use the roof to get out... said was easier to get out then most other cars out there.
My mum hates the Z. Been trying to convince her to drive my brother one (because its auto) but she wants nothing to do with it. She says it feels like she is in a barrel lol.
Listen, don't be too hard on Mum. Anyone can be caught by those parking blocks. The big-headed nails things they hold them down with often stick up a bit and while they let the front bar slide in over them, when you go to back out they grab the bottom of the front bar and either split it or pull the bar off. Nasty things. I've been caught once. I try to avoid them but you can't always.
my mum was scared of my car, then she drove and realised how easy a car is to drive with good suspension and responsive steering and gears. she didnt get used to the boost tho, cause doesnt understand how it comes on later in the revs. scared her a bit lol
