I bought a set of neons that operate through the cigarette lighter and has a 'on' 'off' switch, but I want it to be modified and connected to the headlights switch, so it comes on automatically when you turn the headlights on.

Was wondering if this is possible and if it would be difficult to do?

    Nothing is impossible.

However to make the neons work properly with the dash switch you will need a flux capicitor. I believe Jaycar and RS Warehouse sell them. Model number 1985.

In all seriousness though, all you will need to do is unscrew the light pod and source the hot wire for the headlights. Than patch into it and feed it to the positive side of the invertor. Black/negative/neutral wire from the invertor can jut be put to body earth.

    Not allowed

It's a Zed, rice is not allowed.
But if you must, make sure you get the 13 volt capacitor.

wiring it into your headlights is asking for a defect.

13V. Ah, so thats why i wasnt gaining enough entry speed into the vortex. I was struggling getting to 88 miles p/h with the 9V unit.:br:

    Silly me.

Probably wise to run a relay from the main headlight circuit to a hidden toggle switch or a small micro switch. So at least than you can have it switching independently to the main headlights. Food for thought for when Adelaides finest pull you over.
