Needing some help!

Although I have learnt crap-loads over the past few months while doing an engine and gearbox install along with a suspension overhaul, I can't seem to get things done without tools (duh).

My car is outside my house but unfortunately I can't drive it, it's running on 4 cylinders and I've narrowed things down to injectors. (Ptu was changed which fixed a code 21, checked the coil packs and they are sparking, swapped things around and everything seems to be fine on the electrical end of combustion, the spark plugs on #2 and #4 are wet with fuel too)

When I drove the car home (after 20 months yay) it had absolutely no guts at all, had to go WOT to go to 80kms, was misfiring whenever I took my foot off the accelerator and was belching black smoke

So I'm requesting some help/tools on a few things from anyone that can spare some time (I am willing to pay for your time+beers/beverages if you require :D)

Dremel out Injectors #2 and #4 and replace, along with re-wiring:

    Things needed:

    Dremel
    Soldering Iron and Solder
Multimeter (for OHM values to check the injectors and connectors)

Before you say plenum pull, this will require a lot more tools and knowledge/time, and I need to get this car on the road quickly, so dremel method it is (plus I can do pictures+write-up so we can have a tech article for it on the forum!)

    Detonation Sensor Bypass

Just need someone with knowledge of how to bypass this thing, have looked at pictures and it's been rather unclear of where what goes, getting a DET sensor code 34, I'll be supplying the resistor, just need solder+iron.

    MAF and TPS voltage tested

Need a Multimeter for this one too, just to check for any errors and eliminate any other possibilities

If I have time, a compression test

Need a comp tester for this one, just want to check the condition of the cylinders that have excess fuel in them to make sure of no damage.

    Timing Set

Just need a timing gun on this one.

    Reverse and Speedo Light Wiring

Due to the nature of this install, I can't seem to find where the harness has gone, just need someone to help with wiring in the reverse and speedo lights, the plugs are in the gearbox, however I have no idea where this leads too, and I'm not sure on the pins for the speedo plugs.

I'll supply wiring, just need help with locating and soldering.

Thanks in advance guys, if you would like to help out, message me on the forum and I'll try and work out a time/date with you.

    Cheers,

    Aidan

EDIT: Sorry mods, I posted in the wrong section, would you be able to move this to Non-Technical or Wanted?

Unfortunately I also didn't enter that this is in VIC, I'm located in Bulleen.

How do you know the injectors are screwed? If they are in fact dead you should be pulling the entire fuel rail out and sending it out for cleaning. not just whipping a few of them out. Have you checked they are firing off with the manual CAS rotation test?

Have you changed the plugs? They tend to die if they are overfueled, which it sounds like they have been. I had to swap all 6 after the car had been sitting for ages. NONE of them worked properly after trying to start the car repeatedly.

Have you cleaned the PTU terminals?

Do it right and do it ONCE..............................................

We wired in the PTU last week, cleaned all the wires before solder so I think the PTU side of things is covered.

We eliminated coilpacks by swapping them with known working units and still nothing on #2 & #4. Also checked wiring with a multimeter, looked fine to me.

Change the plugs over Aiden, if that doesn't work, do a plenum pull, send the injectors/rails to Arvin and get them cleaned.

Aidan dont be in a rush...do it once & do it right like Graham said. If a plenum pull is needed then thats the best way to do it as you can do the deletes as per usual while the plenum is out & get Arvin to do your rails & injectors at the same time
