went to ecu plug (found 23) det sensor undid some tape found that it splits into two black wires. one goes to a group of black wires. the other seems to follow the loom to where I was before at the injector harness does this shed any light for you?
You're probably looking at the junction of wires that make up plug F11- engine earth. these terminate with the 2 ring connectors in that pic, which then bolt to the plenum as an earth point. That's about all the help I can offer as far as the det sensor goes. It needs a wire to the ECU and to the earth. Why a sensor would generate voltage from a knock, and then be earthed at the same time confuses me. So not sure how you should wire it from here...
MITCH I FOUND IT I FOUND IT a quick call to a2zed and problem sovled. the black single wire I had at the loom has two wires in it so many thanks to alls input
