Im doing an NA Subframe Swap on my 2+2 Manual TT. Obviously I need to get a new Tailshaft. Heres the bits I have got, what else would I need to get it to fit and work ? What parts do I need to give to the Tailshaft guy.

NA 2+2 Auto 2 Piece Tailshaft
TT 2+2 Manual 2 Piece Tailshaft

Anyone know how long it needs to be ? I cant just split the 2 and join them together, should I just go a 1 Piece ?

    Thanks

One piece will be a lot cheaper than a two piece custom Stu. As for length, apart from getting dimensions from one already done the sure way is to have the diff installed and trailer it down (or get the man to come to you) and do the measurement in situ. The builder obviously only needs the corresponding front and rear yokes to make a one piece.

Not to sure if the auto and manual tailshafts are the same length at the rear halves. Have you tried bolting the two halves up and see how they go?

Yea I figured one piece would be the go, I guess theres no harm splitting the 2 I have just to see how they go for size. Will report back :)

Nope no good, The NA rear half is a fair bit longer.
