When you put the lids in the boot you've got bugger all room left......

the targas sit right in the middle of the boot and you have a little bit of room on either side.

Unless you could put your speaker box on the parcel shelf I don't like your chances. I think you might have to decide which is more important : a boot full of speaker or targas off on a sunny day.

I know which one I'd pick, that's why I always have some blockout in the glovebox :zlove:

I have an Alpine type S 12' in box in the boot -

I can get targas and sub in the boot ONLY if I move the sub off too one side, then the targas just fit in on top of each other (in their bags of course).

I've been thinking about this lately (cause I'm sick of moving the sub - usually I have it tied down). I wouldn't mind getting a custom setup. Struggling to figure how I can fit it all seamlessly in the boot tho...

I'm stuck on this idea of having draw type, pigeon hole things kinda on a false floor filling in the bottom section of the boot. And built on top of this I'd have the sub enclosure so that it looks all appart of the same box... I find it hard to explain but anyway... I'm glad I got that out - mabe I can move on now

Can ya draw us a pic Magic Mike?

Do you mean u want the sub to mounted flush with the floor of the boot? or raise the floor of the boot?

Where would u put the targas then? ontop of the sub?

And Juice, if you didn't have that tank in there, could u put another 12" sub on the right hand side and still put the targas in there?

yes i could fit another 12 inch sub if no tank. also i made a plywood floor

instead of the crappy stock shit. its not high enough to mount subs but you could do it. it would be high enough if the tyre was gone.

    my box is huge

hey mate.. i see how youve set up your sub but mine has to be in a box the size of a dual box.. their for my chances are very slim... i am getting a custom setup in the rear as i will enter it in the DB comps.. i also have to have room for another 2 batteries and a big capacitor plus another big amp.. i think i might just go get the other 12 so ive got 2 and have the entire boot decked out.. i can just leave the targas at home lol..

    Maybe this will inspire u...

mines only 10" but got a proper custom setup, and as u can see there is plenty of room there to go bigger, i have got them to utilise the room that the tyre well takes up for the room for the sub enclosure.... maybe u can do the same.... also the whole lot is removable .. and yes i do know mines not tagra and i don't have to contest with glass pannels but this setup will be going into a 2 seater tagra after chrissy and we will just build in a place for the panels

hmmm how to do pics... will find out and post pic....

mate i'll give you that one...
once i realised what i wrote i was actually waiting for some thing like that lol...

Kac13z32 thanx mate... my only problem is ive got 2 competition Soundstream 12" subz which require 2.2ft box EACH therefore each box is like the size of a standard dual 12"box.. i am getting a full custom job and boxe's made up but yeah, looks like no targas in the rear for me lol... i will keep you guys posted on how i go and will also post pics of install..

Wish I could draw you guys a pic...

I'll try to explain bit beter... Just spent last hr drawing with paint
Basically, I want to raise the floorline enuf so that the base of the box can fit the targas in underneath. Idealy, I'd like to have a lid on a hinge so that the targas are out of site. Not sure how I'd work getting at the spare wheel tho...

I guess it's a pit in the middle of the false floor for the targas, and the sub box ontop of that...

    Clear as mud???

Here's my artistic work - hopefully it'll add clarity not confusion...

You can fit 2 12's in there with enough room for the targas

If you need more room it is easy to extend the enclosures around to join each other over the parcel shelf, or if you are REALLY keen just continue into the cavity behind the rear behind-seat panels.

BTW that's the old Alpine 1000W Monobloc amp, the new one is half the size and you could fit 2 in there :D
