is there anyone in south eastern suburbs of melbourne that could come to my place and help with my z32 issue i feel like my car will never leave my garage plz
what issues are you experiencing with your Z mate. I have conzult to check error codes but I am not a mechanic if its more technical then basic engine stuff.
hi timing issues i removed the belt without setting it at top dead center 1st then put new belt on i have lined up 5 pulley marks with belt marks and it wants to start but doesnt i think i have it at tdc exhaust not compression i have removed new belt so many times now its not funny anymore....lol
http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=310990 Don't turn over your engine until you have checked the info in link or you will have a dead Zed.
Really good advice there. Don't crank it over unless you are 100% sure you have it right. Also if you have the belt on backwards the marks will be wrong . Get some one to check that actually has done a Zed before not someone that knows every thing as it will end in pain and cost you some serious coin. If I was closer I would check it for you. You need to count teeth on the belt to marks like it shows in the service manual. It's the proper way to do it. It takes time but it's the only way as short cuts will end in damage. Cheers Dave
I posted a link about lining up the timing belt, but if you were trying to swap the belt over by matching up the timing marks on the new belt with the old belt, making sure nothing moved, then you should check by counting teeth, before you run the starter motor. See below.
thanks guys i have belt on right way have counted teeth all is good car runs now but 3 and 5 not firing im ordering 6 new injector seal sets tomorrow and rail seals i think i have pinched these 2 seals when replacing old injectors as 2 were no good with new nissan injectors
