Get a repaired one from a member. New they're over $1k, but

ZCAR91 worked out how to repair them. Not sure of the cost of a repaired one but not expesive - $100-200 I think.

If yours fails, you can usually borrow one until you get yours repaired.

    Cheers,

    Peter

Just checked your profile - Brisbane.

Give K-zed or zed4life a call. They'll either have some or know where to get them.

    Cheers,

I found one in the US for $180

So it would be $330-$350 delivered to her with all the charges. I found the repair on the site and may 'have a go'.....but I willcall mark before I do this.

    Many ta's

My view - $330 - 350 Aus too high. Ring either of the Marks. Cheers, Peter

I was drawing from my memory of 4 yrs ago or so when I bought my first Zed. Agree, PTU Series 2 is now app $500.00 - thanks for the update. btw is that including or plus the conversion plugs for the wiring loom, or does it just plug straight in ??

    Cheers,

    Peter

I don't have any working ones ATM (have one I'm

    repairing too!).

Buy a new Series II (comes complete with additional wires required) from conceptzperformance.com or courtesyparts.com for circa $280 delivered...

If you buy a 2nd hand Series 1 that hasn't been repaired, I'd personally only pay $50 or less as they will all eventually fail anyway. Bite the bullet and get the series two and be done with any PTU failures in future.

    Agree with Mark (Zed4life).

I have one coming from Coz (Series 2).
Series 2 aren't prone to failure like the original ones and at under $300 far better value for money than over $1000 for a replacement original.

Also the one from Coz includes the wiring harness adapter that is required to change over the the series 2 PTU in the price.
