Well normally it is.... My NA rear has been performing perfectly for the last 15000k - however there is a mix it doesnt like.....

    NA rear + 285 Semis + 2nd gear + Axle tramp = :(

If anyone in Brisbane is wrecking an NA -or has some spares I'm after a RH Halfshaft/Driveshaft ASAP as I'm heading down to Melbourne in a week.....

No not a one off ... they are prone to do that with big slicks and hard launches on high HP cars

At least it broke at the outer spline. I have broken 2 output shafts in my tt diff so far.

It was the axle tramp that killed it - its a nasty bit of road, and I haven't been able to cure the axle tramp yet.....this was only on 13psi too.

Although this was the same side that took a hit in the car I pulled the subframe from so may have had some damage before I fitted it.

Is it possible to buy a replacement outer joint (I believe they aren't rebuildable looking at the manual)

I have 2 sets of driveshafts to suit a TT here - but not a single spare NA one!

post up the difference between the TT shafts and the NA ones (caliper measurements). did alot of thinking but after looking around and researching the half shafts a prone to breaking when launching. guys in the US get customs ones made to solve the problem. the r200 is strong but the output shafts are prone to failure under high load. only from research i have done.

My thought is nissan engineers went to all the rouble of putting a bigger rear end in the TT's for a reason. im not an engineer just some greese monkey that can spin a spanner so something makes me think they are right lol

Hey mate, if you're keen you can borrow mine from my Z whilst it's off the road and just supply me a same condition replacement later. The option is there so you make your trip, you've got my number.
