Is it different? I am doing a manual conversion on an NA, using a TT fly&clutch, and a TT box. Do I need to get a tt box>na diff driveshaft made up or use half of each 2 piece? I was hoping to still use my one piece from the auto.

The drive shaft is different . Some people to change the whole driveshaft for balance purposes .

Sorry misread that . I assumed Auto boxes . move along nothing to see here :)

manual and auto boxes have different shafts
tt and na subframes have different shafts
2 seater and 2+2 have different shaft lengths

but NA and TT boxes are the same... manual to manual, auto to auto

so if you are NA with a tt box you will need an NA manual shaft for 2 or 2+2

your 1 piece is now useless unless you change the gear box end.

thats my understanding after my conversion

NA and TT manual as well as TT auto use the same size gearbox yoke. An auto TT yoke can be fitted to any manual by removing the yokes dust sheild.

Both auto boxes are 105mm longer than both manual box.

Your best option is to have your existing NA shaft modded to suit, shorten 105mm and fit the correct front yoke. If you mix and match tailshaft halves they will require balancing, so imo you are better off spending the money on a new fab'd shaft rather than on used stuff.

But as far as I understand it, I will just be able to use a 2+2 NA manual shaft and the spline will match the TT box output shaft right?

If one of those cost me say 60-80 posted, I can't imagine having the one piece modified will be any cheaper?

Yes, a NA manual 2+2 tail shaft will work on a TT box
