Anyone know the function of the black box screwed to the top of the trim panel below the steering column? It has a bunch of wires running to it... Cheers.
The black box is to control the extendable mast that was on the front bar at some stage, is this box attached to the underside of the trim under the steering colum, is it held down be a metal bracket thing if it is thats what it is. I just riped mine out and put my apexi turbo timer control box in its place..:zlove: Hope this helps
I reckon ittd be an old alarm module.... then again we founs some pretty interesting stuff under the trim of my car in various places, so really could be any kinda gizmo....
MYSTERY SOLVED... As suggeted it was the control module for the front bar mast. I traced some of the wires at lunch time and found that they did indeed run to the mast switch, so box has been removed. looked impressively stock at first glance then found a couple of dodgy connections into the oem harness... Thaks for the help all.
