Well i ran out of luck today fellas, i crashed my zed happened at 3:30 today coming home from my brothers school. Driving away from the lights i felt the back end become lose(it was pouring with rain) tried to brake and overcorrected, ending up backwards through a wall. Went to the hospital but luckilly nothing more than a bit of whiplash and a headache... The cars in a bad way with the rear end being pretty totalled and ive heard of zeds being written off for much less so its not looking good although no one was hurt thank god. Basically just wanted to vent a little and remind everyone to stay safe.. Cheers A tired and sore z-owner:zlove:
F*ck, sorry to hear man! Very lucky you weren't hurt! Every time I see / hear something like this I swear my heart skips a beat. These Sydney roads are so shit I tell you... Hope you get this sorted out and you (and your zed) get the better of this situation! I guess this is another wake up call to all drivers out there, the wet season is starting so be careful! Greg
i feel for yah mate, i did the same thing late last year and lost my first zed, two weeks after doing a $2000 service. unfortunatly, they are written off pretty easy as panel shops dont like working on them... if you can, have it assessed by a panel shop you know, ask them if you can swap the aftermarket parts on your car with standard stuff before it gets taken away. i did this with mine, took all my stereo, and all the little things i had done to it before i wrote it off. good luck and happy to hear your ok. if you do manage to be able to swap parts let me know as i'm looking for a few things....
Thanks mate, im very lucky...shoulda bought that lotto ticket. Most of the car is standard and my dads a spraypainter so its gonna get taken to his work for assessment... I just serviced it not long ago too ahh well...
no problems mate, i found it really hard when i wrote mine off, i'm sure things will turn out better for you in the end. took me over 6 months to find my new zed but it was worth the wait. good luck with the assessment.
Man that is some shit news I hope u are ok, spose ul be pretty sore tomorrow in the neck department. Have u had any skidpan experience? and defensive driving stuff? just asking cause with these cars you sure as hell need it. my condolences to you mate , its heartbreakin losing a nice car . ah thats shit sorry to hear I like many other Zedders here have done the same but at the end of the day you and no one else was hurt so just get anuther z and it will be a thing of the past
