One of my few moments in the passenger seat in the 300... my cousin was driving me down New South Head Road last night, we were in the left lane, saab in the right. saab decides to whack on left indicator and turn the wheel. The result - one very sorry 300, sandwiched between the gutter and the saab. The damage: 3 of my very new rims wrecked left and right skirts, front bar, right headlight, both front quarter panels, both doors, drivers mirror all scratched or wrecked. The front left wheel that had hit the gutter was sitting with a hell of a lot more (or is it less???) camber than before as well, and the whole front of the car crunched like hell as it was dragged onto the tow truck. Whiplash for all involved, plus my damn knee dislocated itself again. Luckily the baby in the Saab was ok. Wish i got to lie in a Rohan Capsule! Since i had no insurance on the car, I'm very worriedly awaiting judgement of blame by the traffic sargeant =) I'd just like to thank Sean for calling me after the accident last night to ask if i had leather seats, and if so to claim them. Miserable bastard =)
Sorry to hear Rohan >> but if the Saab changed lanes, even after indicating, without checking for other traffic in the left lane, then the driver of the Saab is clearly at fault for not changing lanes with safety & with due care. It is His/Her responsibility to change lanes in a safe manner. Had this exact thing happen to a friend several months ago & that was the determination, according to the Traffic Act. Best of luck, & I hope the other driver was insured, for your sake. Cheers Kerry
After pushing trees over With that front bar of yours, i would have thought it would handle Saab's with ease. Sorry to hear mate, hope your feeling better soon.
Re: Bad Luck Hahah tell that to my knee and back!!! =) Oh wait, you meant at least no one ELSE was hurt!
Thats exactly what happened to me .....................however my damage wasnt as serious as yours. Good luck with things mate, clearly it wasnt your fault.
claim If the other driver wont claim this on his insurance though then your only option would be to take him to court. Insurance companies wont move unless a claim has been files
Bad luck ahahaha OMG that's a bit harsh :LOL: Glad you're ok, hope it all gets sorted out Cheers, Rich
