Just checking the recent Melbourne Trading Post's car section and to my surprise my old IZXI plates are for sale: Page 116PERSONALISED NUMBER PLATES, IZXI white on black, showroom condition, suit any 300ZX best offer. 0412-830574, (03) 93239510 GlenroyHow weird, I never read the trading post and today I just happen to pick one up for a quick read and thats what I find.Not sure if this is true or not but, a friend of mine bought a car with custom plates on it already, he decided to get new custom plates for that car, so the old custom plates, he wanted to put it on his other car, but VIC ROADS said he can't do that, he had to get permission from the original owner before he can do that. Anyhow they got in contact with the original owner who purchased it and he gave them the ok to register it on another car.So if I get contacted to give permission, I'd probably say no and ask to see if I can get those plates back and don't let anyone register it, call me selfish but I liked those plates and I wouldn't mind keeping it for memories sake.Peace Tay
Why did you sell them in the first place? Did the car go with them as well, and if so, why in god's name did you do that. Unless you couldn't keep it, in which case I should shut my mouth.
Had too... Yeah, I sold them with the car, I told him the plates are not included, but he insisted that he wanted them and it suited the car, since he offered to pay a little extra, I thought by selling him the plates with the car would help make the sale of my car. Mmmm, I wonder why he wants to sell them?Peace Tay
I dont know if this helps but when i brought my car after transfer papers were all done went to vic roads and they said i had to get another form for the owner to sign saying that he agrees to transfer the custom plates to me.
