    Hi All,

Took my interior to the Trimmers finally on Tuesday this week so I should get it back in a couple of weeks. Chose nice black Marco suede to cover everything. Looking forward to this, it should look great. Well for the cost it damn well better :D will post pics later.

    Seats >>>
They quoted me $1k a seat to recover the factory ones or some nice recaro's in suede for $3,000 per seat installed!!!! $6k

I?m looking for an upgrade and considering the Bride Brix II. Anyone have these installed? Thoughts / opinions / likes dislikes anyone???
    Where do i source them???
Do they come in different sizes etc? I need to make sure they will fit before purchase.

    Pics would be appreciated....

    Cheers
    -Pete

dont bother man... stock seats trimmed in leather look and feel awesome... they dont look thin and flimsy... they do hug you for hard corners and they are not like sitting on metal for every day driving..

plus they are $1000's cheaper... 6g for 2 new seats? pfftt u can get all ur trim, your door panels, seats, and a new set of rims for that...

    Pete old' son....

mate there are a few options here in adelaide... Velo have a factory up at Holden Hill ... you might wanna chek them out... they can trim anything u like even get a seat done in the fabric your using on your panels... something like a GP-90 is good... also on Magill road there is a speed shop... Revolution Racing??? mostly got race gear like helmets, seats, harneses, gloves and wheels.. they got a few on display... then u gota decide if u want fixed back or Recliners.. then some seats are side mounted rails and some are under mounted rails... big pain in the ass...

one rule tho even brand name seats come in $500 models upto 2k models... the cheaper 1s just look bare and thin... and the 2k 1s are reallly cumpfy...

Then u got your Repco / motoquipe brands which are crap like Autotechnica and OBX... when we go on the next run have a sit in ANTS car hes had some OBX in for at least a year and there still like new... i sat in them.. i must say i prefer the leather 300 seats i goT...

    talk soon bro

Cheers for the reply...yeah not going ahead with the 6k dont worry :)

Not a fan of leather on seats. Thats why i went marco suede... Trimmer said it was 20% more expensive than high quality leather which supprised me.

Ive had the car almost 4 years and have had plenty of time to know the stock seats arent all that great without maybe rebuilding the bolsters. Cant go round corners fast with leather seats :D

Im looking at 1k per seat to retrim, which is about what a Bride seat should cost plus rails and install.

Frankie...Magill road is Auto sport. had a chat to Mark up there. Most of their gear is fixed back. Might have to find the Velo factory.

I need the zing not the bling as they say.

    Cheers

the stock seats are slipperier in leather than the other materials, I'd try someone elses first then decide cos it's highly unlikely you'll get the right seating position in aftermarket seats and if you ever want a half cage you'll be hard pressed to find some that will fit alongside and under it like the stockies do.

My recaro forced me to go a smaller steering wheel cos the seat wouldn't go back far enough and I've since gone back to stock. Yeah I noticed I move around more but I did go from cloth to leather. I found adjusting the side supports helped quite a bit though.. (via the dial on passenger side)
