after all that hassle i was having with oil coming out the breather valve, there was a simple solution!!! valve was facing downwards making a 'A' sorta shape rather then a '>' shape, simple turned it around and now i have no problems.
after long drives,... .../ driving to work on the motorway, when i'd pull over the zed would smoke up, it looked to be oil coming out of the gearbox housing and touching the exhaust pipes, causing the smoke.it appears that oil was coming out of the breather valve, the valve looked like this. [image]http://www.cit.uws.edu.au/~luke/z/leaky.jpg[/image]it is not threaded, so with a bit of force, you can twist it 180 degrees so that it looks like this. [image]http://www.cit.uws.edu.au/~luke/z/fixed.jpg[/image]this has allowed me to drive it hard and long for about 3 weeks with no more probs (after topping up the oil again)i think that with the end of the valve facing down, the occaisional bit of oil that gets in there drips out, and hits the exhaust, however with it turned it just drips back down in side and still lets any air burp out.please excuse my dodgy drawings, but you get the idea i hope!
