Any tester should do. A lot of variables to get the best psi numbers. The figures themselves are mostly useless. Pretty much looking for a stable range across the board using the same tester.
Its the one that says " FUEL INJ " in the small fuse box near the drivers side shocker tower. Just whip that one out.
I just bought an ABW compression tester kit -might be able to hook up over Christmas if you like. It's one of the kits with solid extensions etc for getting down into the spark plug recess
Do you know how much fun it is to get the extension adapter out when it decides to unscrew and leave itself attached to your plug thread? About as much as getting the spark plug spanner grommet off the back of plug.......
Depending on ow long the extension is rob, that may be a pain on #6, not a straight short at the plug there.
Cylinder 1- 145 psi Cylinder 2- 142.5psi Cylinder 3- 132.5psi Cylinder 4- 145psi Cylinder 5- 140psi Cylinder 6- 145psi If I remember correctly thats about what the engine was when I got it ~10, 000 kms ago. All 140s with one cylinder down in the 30s. 10psi out ok?
If it's a T.T. the compression figures are acceptable. T.T. - Standard 171psi Minimum 128psi If it's an N.A. they're not very good at all. N.A. - Standard 186psi Minimum 142psi
