The most anticipated bout in Australian history or just hype to get people to sign up with pay per view?

When's the bout scheduled and at which stadium?

    Any predictions?

I think Greene might just have the edge, he has fought world class opponents and is all business while in the ring... Mundine is no show pony either, but he has not fought as many world rated opponents to give him that extra experience and coupled with a chandelier chin he may not last the distance.

I just can't wait for the fight, I say Greene by KO in the 8th...

    Guna be a good fight!

I can't wait to see Greene kill 'The man'...

He won't be so tuff then  Stupid Mundine - I hate that guy... Boo frigety hoo - I'm not good enuf to make the Australian league team so I'll quit and say it's cause I'm black, and then become a boxer...
He'd be nothing without that thick skull passed down from his dad...

    *end rant

I used to hate "the man"

The guy can never shut his mouth!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then for some unknown reason he went deathly quiet, started to respect other boxers, and learn from them (after he got knocked out:thumbsup:).

Because of that im going for Mundine...................

    Probably say "The Man"

Personally, I think Danny Greene is a better person, but Mundine is probably the better technical fighter.

In the end, Mundine wins either way due to the payout he gets (which is a lot more than green will be getting from the fight).

    WTF - Go Greene.

mundine has a larger than normal 'mouth' but he is damn quick and

can take a bit of a beating, but, at the same time he always fights 50 year old's who have come back from retirement etc. The last time he got KO'd and smacked down like a stunned fish no one heard his 'mouth' for about a year lol, hopefully it will happen again :)

    GO GREENE

mundine has always had that kind of attitude on him and always willl...

despite his cockyness i think he will knock green out with minimal damage to his own face...

if u guys saw the last fights green and mundine fought u should have seen green's face when mundine knocked his oponent out in the third (i think it was that round) while green didnt succeed in knocking his opponent out...

    mundine

But the quality of opposition was hardly equal...

The guy mundine fought sucked, and the guy greene fought was a Terrence!!! (Terry tuff c*#t) He copped a royal beeting but didn't go down...

    Gotta bear in mind that...

Greene's opponents were ranked, whereas Mundine tends to choose unknown journey men. Chong Nee was a tough fighter but not world class.

Mundine is a backpeddler. Some good technique but he runs away, tends to

win on points against good fighters like Antwun Ecchols.

Greene, on the other hand, has a jab stronger than most people's right. He hits like a truck, and keeps coming no matter what. He's a true warrior, and for that I hope he wins.

If he comes out against Mundine the way he did against Beyer in the 11th, then this will be a good fight to watch.

Exactly, it's always easy to look good against soft opposition

I've always thought Green would win easy against Mundine but it's now a much closer fight.

Mundine has improved and Green has changed trainers and has become less aggressive and more defensive.

However, Green can win this one easily all he needs to do is stick to his jab for the first 3 or 4 rounds. Mundine will slow down as all speedsters do after the first few rounds then Green will start landing some heavier shots.

I must admit I think Mundine is a bit of a tool, not being racist here just don't like big mouths. Although apparently he is a nice guy when the cameras aren't around.

He also lacks an identity, that's why he tried to imitate Ali and now Roy Jones Jr. He's grown a beard like him, is trying to fight like him and even wants to make an rap album.

Anyway, I like Green in this fight.

Don't be so sure. I'll bet Mundine's strategy is to make Greene chase him

    all over the ring.

Mundine sticks to the rules, I just don't think his approach is very sportsmanlike.

I would really like Greene to win, but it's really hard to fight someone when they're just using the back foot all the time and you have to take the fight to them.

Or Greene will end it all with a knockout, wtf do I know.

I disagree, Mundine goes on the backfoot when he struggles

or feels threathend by someones power. Remember he got koed (cold) by feather fisted Ottke so he now runs when he's pushed.

Much harder fighting going backwards unless you're very skilled at it.

Anyway, we'll find out soon enough.

    Green with the win

I'm gonna say Green will take this out. But it could easily go either way.

They still haven't announced a date or venue.
No matter what state it's in, I will fly to see it. This will be massive.

    Egg ....

    Well said Magic Mike.

I remember him whining about not making the Australian side because he was Aboriginal... made me laugh because Mal Meninga was the Australian captain at the time which shoots down that theory.
Full of excuses just like his old man, his old man got beat and said he was drugged at the hotel he was staying at in Brisbane, then years later I saw his last fight at Festival Hall and he said something similar... not real bright he stayed in the same hotel too. He could take a punch though. LOL
I'd like to see him get smashed by Greene... I don't give him a chance. He's fought journeyman only, and twice he's been beaten by average opponents, or well past their best.
