Got off to a great start with 14 Zeds meeting at Strathpine.

Whilst the run thru to Dayboro was uneventful, MikeZ joined us there for the run up to Mt Mee and was witness to FATE's minor off-road excursion. Our 'hitman', resplendant in Mafia attire including hat, wiped out a roadside marker ... the first kill of the day!

The 2nd kill was a monstrous road-kill which the first 4 or 5 Zeds managed to avoid ... it was definately deceased by the time another 10 had passed over.

3rd kill, was an overheat. Decoy(?) pulled into the Mt Mee lookout with steam and smoke pouring from his engine bay and left on a tilt-tray some time later. :(

It was at this point I had to leave the cruiZe and head home (due to other commitments), in company with MikeZ and PSA. We enjoyed a pleasant lunch at Dayboro Hotel plus a sedate run thru to Brissie & home.

Look forward to seeing dial-up friendly (hint hint) pics, and further write-ups.

Sounds like an eventful day. I hope there wasn't any damage as a result of the roadside marker / roadkill.

    Cheers,

Got the car off the trailer and it started straight up. Filled the radiator up and took it for a short drive down the street. So looks like it might be just blown head gasket(s).

K-Zed and co passed the tow truck on the $200 - 1.5hr trip home - just rubbing in the fact

big thanks to everyone that helped me out today. :zlove:

Hope you get it sorted Jake ....

... not a good way to get home from your first cruiZe.

By the time I looked in the RV mirror I couldn't tell if you were in the Tilt Tray's passenger seat or I would have waved.

Left at 7:30 got home at 5:30 450km later

Well started at pexed's, all good, got to the meet point, lots of zeds. Needed a drink from the nearby servo come out and 13 zeds miraculously disappeared. After rendezvousing again I had a great day. Lots of sun provided too I think after getting home I realized I should have provided myself with some sun cream.

    WHAT A GREAT DAY

My cruise actually started yesterday with a mini tech day at K-zed's where we installed my new ECU and K-zed kindly showed me how to clean the unifilter as well.

    BIIIIIIG DIFFERENCE  BOOOOOST

I then left for Pex's place where he did an oil change on his zed while i pretended to help  I wasn't much use at the time :( Cleaned my battery terminal up while he was working on his car and i did a Boost leak test just for good measure as well. NO LEAKS!

Didn't sleep at all last night due to a friends 21st B/day party around the corner from Pex's.

Morning came and so it began.

3 of us left from Pex's place then gathered K-zed along the way, Met the crew with at least 3 new faces to me, checked out Fleet's Overpowered Zed:thumbsup: (Lookin Good btw Pete)

And it was on for young and old. 5 mins after leaving the Strathpine carpark we'd made a little noise when leaving of course . We'd pulled over waiting for the rest of the pack and heard a Siren SCREAMING THROUGH!!!... I'm sure it wasn't just me that thought he was after us... AND NO I'M NOT PARANOID!

Cruising up Mt Mee pushing the Zed to it's perfect limits, I then looked down for only 2 seconds and saw my temp guage was rising, by the time i looked up I was almost on the enbankment into this corner. Quick tap of the brakes but was too late, the Zed was already on the grassy section and off the road, The car spun out 180 degrees across the road and hit a white road marker at the top speed of 5km p/h. :p A quick check over of the car revealed only a bit of white paint on the front bar. I sat grinning as several Z's passed me while i was facing the opposite direction.

WHAT A FUN RIDE :p

Zed lives to drift another day.

    I LOVE Z CRUISES!!!

    So much entertainment.

    YOU GUYS ARE GREAT.

    Very Eventful day :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Left my pace at 9 (me + Fate + MAcman21), picked up a stray Zed (aka K-Zed) on the way down to the M1, and 4 Zeds were winging their way to Strathpine.

Had a very sedate run to Strathpine, figured we'd save our energy for the business part of the cruiZe.

The group really stayed together well for most of the day, great to see 14 Zeds in close convoy for an extended period. Plenty of spirited driving too :).

There were a lot of car and bike clubs cruiZing today too, seemed more than we usually see. Heaps of Fords, hot rods three wheelers and a huge MX-5 cruiZe.

As for our cruiZe, First there was the Backward FATE, so from now on Sean, you will be referred to as "ETAF" (err.... um...... Fate backwards). ETAF was directly behind me, one second you were there and then next time I checked my mirror, you were gone.

ETAF recovered with a slightly bruiZed front bar, but at least in one piece.

Off to our first stop at the Mt Mee Lookout, and we had one very hot and stinky Zed turn up with smoke billowing out the exhaust and bonnet. TWD anyone .
Hope all works out well m8.

Then on the way to the next stop AZA blew off a coil pack connector, and somehow we lost ETAF. I got a call about 10 minutes later from ETAF, so I went back and found him in Maleny.

Time to rejoin the cruiZe, well all is good you think, started my Zed and proceded to spray a few litres of fuel over the carpark of the local IGA. Seems a fuel line clamp had come loose (hose and hard pipe went their own ways). "Have tools can fix". Under way again in under five minutes.

Off to Mapleton and Monteville, arrive at the lookout, and Mr TT was called into work so we were cut a bit short on the full cruiZe.

ETAF and I had a good time toying with the M1 traffic on the way home. All in all a great day.

I didn't take any photos today, so I too am eager to see some from those who did!!

See you all at the next event.
