Am looking into buying a pair of Harness's, What are the common mounting points used when not combining with a rollcage set up, I also plan to get them engineered so if anyone has done this and passed engineer inspection can u tell me where u mounted them please. Thanks
Seems Ebony is in for some serious hard work Jesse Not that she wasnt't before! Don't think Im gonna make it to Moruya, my Zed is misbehaving badly
I think you will find......>> That they are illegal for street use. You can get the installation passed by an engineer, but they will still be illegal. One of the ADRs your car is certified to states that it must be fitted with inertia reel belts. Try checking with the RTA or whoever does that thing in NSW.
You'll find that... ...they'll still hastle you about it even if you are NOT using them at the time! They'll dribble some rubbish about not knowing who mounted them thus making them not comply with ADR's. At least they do in WA!
Still intend on keeping original belts And using harness's for track days, I have already ordered harness's and really all im wondering is where are the most appropriate locations to bolt em down?? Thanks
Here is a diagram for you.....>> When you mount the belt keep the following angles in mind. They are not just there for regulation, but to make the belt work and do its job of saving you should you need it. I'm currently going through the process of fitting belts to my car, but I plan to use a combined rear strut brace and harness mounting bar to attach the harness in the back.
