VIC Morwell Hillclimb 24th of Aug

The new Morwell Hillclimb track at Haunted Hills is now open and this months round of the MSCA championship will be held there. The old track was great and we had a few fun outings there so I'm hoping for more of the same at the new one.

I've got my entry in for this event so if anyone feels like a nice drive in the country to watch some cars go round a track feel free to come and join me.

 

Very tempting, I might even have a go myself depending on how cash is looking.

 

I'll print out the details and bring them to the meeting tonight. Only $85 to enter.

 

Not bad at all, how many runs do you usually get or is it a circuit now? I have some huge (non zed related) expenses coming up but I will see what I can do. Either way the drive over there might be nice and there is a great venison farm near there I have been meaning to go back to anyway.

 

Don't know how many runs we will get. The new track is slightly longer than the old one which means it will take longer to get through the cars.

Why not invite the minister along? Emma will be going so they can point and laugh at us trying to race, well me anyway if you are going to be soft about it

 

OK, Got my entry confirmation by email today so I'm am definately in for this. How many are comming down for a Look? After DECA last Sunday it is a good chance to see what goes on at a round of the MSCA championship, and a good chance to check out a new track.

 

i would like to try morwell but I have to work every sunday and don't have annual leave left so will have to wait for another one. good luck for the event, let us know how you go.

would love to come see your car in action.. only was in it on the lil back track at deca but boy it was crazy....

 

I still have not got any confirmation.

Not good, especially as I emailed in my application 5 minutes after they sent me the payment information and confirmed what class I would be in, you would not think it would fill up that fast.

Oh well, even if I am not able to compete I will try to come down for a look.

Hassle Simon about hassling the Rob Roy organizer, apparently he knows him. Rob Roy is much closer than Morwell too.

I will get Emma to bring her camera along and Pete has his on car camera so there should be a bit too see. I think a few spectators are coming too so they should take some pictures I imagine.

 

well, so far....

it looks like only me and BigCol as spectators. Some others are maybe's, but wont know for sure until saturday.

So this could be a small outing. Who knows.

I am leaving my place somewhere around 4:30-4:45 to make sure I get a decent pit spot and get properly organized before scrutineering starts at 7:30.

You are welcome to meet me at my place to drive down together if you like but if you want to go at a more civilized hour I won't take it personally

I think I'll be leaving at a more civilized time.. To be at your place by 4:30am I would have to get up at 3:15am .....

 

See now Mark, this is the kind of softness that Mr WYKKED was talking about on sunday. Get your car out on the track and the manliness you achieve will make such early starts a piece of cake for you.
