Ok, after finding a near new set of coil packs that was left over from my engine swap (VG30DE to another VG30DE), i got another phone call from my mechanic to tell me one of the injectors is flowing more than 3 times the amount that the rest of them do (yay, that would be why my fuel economy was bad!). I had some injectors left over from the engine swap so I gave them to him, but he tells me that they are different to the new ones! The old ones have twin fuel feeds? And i need one that just has a single feed. He said the one i need looks a little like a VL commodore injector, but he wasnt sure. Anyone here know about the different injectors offered with the VG30's? Do 300ZX injectors have dual feeds? are 300ZX injectors the same as the VL Commodore (RB30??)
300ZX injectors are side feed, not duel feed. never heard off anyone using VL injectors in a zed before, VL injectors are top feed i think!

Thanks, however that site is more dedicated to the Infinity J30, which appears to have around as much to do with the Cedric as the 300ZX does (not to mention there is more tech info in one thread here than that entire forum) Anyway I just spoke to someone at All Z Parts (where i bought my replacement engine), and they said there are two types of injectors for this engine; single feed and dual feed. They said they stock both types and can supply me a single-feed so that should get me out of trouble... Thanks!
Confirmed VL injectors are top feed. I have a full set of good TT injectors still in the fuel rail you can have for $120 if you want them!!
Bummer... Welcome to #76 of the 1000+ differences between the Z32 and the Y32: I guess it may be more related to the VL Commodore than i thought! Thanks guys, i think i will stop asking for parts advice here as i dont think i have found a single part which is interchangeable yet. Might still lurk around since some of the diagnostic/tech info is still relevant
