Ok I have a problem and need some help to find the fault i have a misfiring problem... the symptoms are it is not a constant misfire only every now and again (maybe 1 every 2 seconds) it misses in the low to mid RPM range not high RPM (or ad lest I cant tell its missing above 4000rpm) I can make it misfire when parked in the driveway pulling the throttle cable it doesn't do it when its cold only once it has warmed up (but strangely enough when I had it up on a race track after giving it a real hard time on a hot day I couldn't make it misfiring) it doesn't do it when I am driving the car hard (i.e. full throttle) it will only miss under light acceleration and cruising car 300zxTT 1989 manual please some one help
having a guess Im no mechanic but i would probably start with fuel filter and spark plugs. When were they last changed?
Do a power balance test to establish which cyl is down on power or ... Check spark plugs are good, coil pack, injector & PTU connectors etc. all clean and tight. See Tech Section A-Z/Misfire for more help.
