Big thanks to Eric (drz400y), Chrispy, Bones and Cam for coming to un-pull the motor yesterday:zlove::zlove::zlove: Other than the 'Stupid Brace' issues it went well. After a slow start we had the motor back in the bay before lunch (Bones's fav: Cara's hotdogs) After lunch was fitting everything else and connecting the new loom etc. All that is left now is: fuel lines and fpr plumbed up test pipes oil pressure and water temp wired in ECU back from workshop dash trim on drivers side put back and I think that's about it Chrispy has some more pics on facebook, but here's a couple of pics of the new look plenum and how it all looks after the days work:cool2::zlove:
good work mike....it is all coming together....keep it up love that plenum....i thought you had a red one though?? that one looked awesome too
Yeah I did, but it was too much red in there... Cara had lots of fun stripping all the red off it too
Woot Woot!! Great work to all the guys! (and cara for supplying said infamous hotdogs ) ... and i love the SHIT out of that Plenum!!!!! Can't wait to see this mo-fo running again mikey! :zlove:
Red is for pussies, alway bet on black! :cool2: Wasn't a bad way to spend a Sunday. Forgot to mention all those cookies and alco we consumed the SHIT out of!
looks really good, is that wrinkle paint on the plenum? i think that the throttle bodys would look good painted to match as well, or maybe polished for some contrast? anyway, good luck with it all, like i said looking good so far........
Won't need to be fixed if he doesn't try to head home again! I'm hoping to have mine all sorted before the big trip too.
