Hey Guys, Have installed a Microtech LTX-12S and a direct fit wiring harness to plug into the original loom. Was wondering, as nissans (sorry am reverted toyota guy :sorry:
) coil packs have so many issues with spark at descent boost levels, whether anyone has put in a X6 igniter module into a Z???

If so any wiring directions would be great

i havent but i was going to do exactly what you have done and use the X6 box instead of the PTU... i am led to believe this is its intended purpose...

u can wire in the x6 box but it's going to be harder because you're using plug and play. i'd get another microtech harness and go to town on hard wire.... much easier/better in the long run

Thanks... was considering that I might need to hardwire as the aircon pump doesn't work either with the plug and play unit. Don't suppose any of you know the answer to that one either????

And yes ice3535 was to use instead of the PTU, but also as I'm going to stuff 30 to 35psi down its throat really soon :)

Will probably wire in bosch/ mercury coil packs as I'm not sure that the stock ones will be able to dissipate the heat of 15-20psi daily and around 35psi with race gas for the strip?

Chili is running that same microtech plug in unit I think and from what he's said everything on his still works. Perhaps he can comment.

    Where did you hear this?

Not quite true... if you are running big boost on a regular basis then sure you might run into problems, but generally speaking the stock setup is pretty good.

Yep, mine is a "Plug N Play" and was installed by Ben @ UAS several years ago, has been running 16psi as a "daily"(and 18psi when I get the urge) without any hiccups at all.
My A/C works fine(and my AFM and O2's are no longer used).
