Megan are cheap, nasty & chinese.

Articdragon192 off the american forums (posts here a bit too) recently got a new zed after his was written off & it came with megan coilovers but he's putting his old powertrix ones on it. He's actually posted on 300zxclub asking people to stop asking him to sell them & stated that they're so bad compared to the powertrix that he's refusing to sell them & simply throwing them out.

The KYB AGX's are meant to be a really excellent choice for a street driven zed, pair them with some eibach, tanabe or any other decent springs & you've got a winning combination.

Powertrix also have a fantastic reputation on the american forums & can be had quite cheaply, powertrix also frequently run group buys.

    Have you actually used them?

I've had megan racing the last 6 months and they've been pretty good, especially as it cost me $800 new delivered.

It feels very similar to drive as my friend's 180SX's Tein coilovers.

I agree that they are definitely low end on scale of quality side, but you always get what you pay for, I was after a cheap replacement for my shocks as one started leaking, if that's what you're after it's way better than stock and doesn't break the bank.

    mr zed x chassis scrubbin..

megan racing coilovers are cheap nasty shit that tightarses keep buying which keeps crap
companies alive and plaguing the modifying market.

I've seen a set of these close up and I'd rather slam my dick in a doorframe than ever have to use them.

Definately haven't used them, wouldn't waste my money.

Sorry mate but for similar money you could've had the kyb/eibach combo which would've left the megans for dead in the handling department. Can always get a suspension shop to add more circlip grooves to go lower if need be.

Op would suggest you have a good look at coz's website with the dollar so good or maybe get in contact with kuah at powertrix.

possibly a question best asked on one of the american forums or perhaps have a search over there?

Personally I'd go the powertrix which are cheaper & I prefer the monotube design but do some research & make your own decision.

    cheers, Tim
