I know there have been many post before on one-piece tailshafts but read on please. Ok I've taken the clubs unanimous advice and got myself a one-piece tail shaft. The vibrations at 40km'h are gone, fantastic :thumbsup:............now it starts at 90km/h and its bad. I returned the car and they said they couldn't find anything wrong with the balancing. They suggested it was because these cars are very rough (bull$#@%, the vibration wasn't there before, now it is). They suggested the wheels. Well by chance I got new wheels and tyres same week with tyres (remember wasn't there before now it is). I noticed the gearbox mount stuffed, I replaced that on SUN (remember wasn't there before now it is). Still the vibrations continue. What should I do? Take it back again and let them tell me there is nothing wrong and they prob don't even look at it anyway; have someone else balance it and spend more money, go to small claims tribunal and spend more money(last resort). WHAT DO I DO, WHAT WOULD YOU DO, SPENT $495 AND IM FURIOUS WITH THE RESULT, O YEAH AN TWO DAYS OF WORK TO GET IT DONE.:angry::angry::angry::angry::angry:
Man, sorry to hear of your probs. I have been thinking of this down the track. Not sure what to advise, but please keep us all posted of your progress. Also, if you are interested, please PM me with the company involved, but no need to name names on the thread.
No trouble naming names It is petron, I should have told you all otherwise my fellow zedders could encounter the same problem, I should have gone to trusted Gavin, but too late for should have's.
I'd get legal advice from Fair Trading-ph 1300 659030 and see what your legal options are. I personally wouldn't want anyone working on my car a second time to fix what they have caused a first time so I'd be going for my money back and then take it to Gavin...
Ok maybe Alright, the car is due to go back again on monday, I'll take ron for a drive and show him what im on about. I have since wondered if they have disturbed the diff mountings. I havn't had time to have a look yet and carnt find any post on it. Couldnt find anything on previous post that helped, does anyone have any experience with high speed vibration relating to diff mounts?
If it helps >>> I'll come with you to PETRON. They built Richo's one piece and it too has slight vibration around 100-110. As far as I can ascertain, it has to do with the type of universal fitted, a problem unique to NA's. Let me know Max ... I'm sure we can sort it.
Thanks  I'm trying to post pics of my diff mounts, I don't know what they should look like? That would be terrific if you would do that. I only have two seats remember so I'll do two runs if you want to experience it. I'll be getting there 3:30pm straight from work (otherwise I would have offered to drive you up there, sorry) this monday if you could meet me there? Passenger Side Drivers Side
