    Guys/Gals

I am looking for a good reliable Z mechanic in Perth who could look after my service needs. Can someone recommend someone.

I would prefer not to go to Extreme Machines had a bad experience with them.

    I'd recommend Hyperdrive

After getting severely dicked around by Nissan themselves, a work mate with an S15 refered me to Hyperdrive -- I was very happy with their work and customer service. They're a bit out the way for me but at least they seem to know their way around a TT Z32 -- unlike local Nissan.

    I dunno

I've called them on a few occasions, they seem pretty expensive and a little too quick to diagnose problems for my liking.. ie. me: "I've tried most the common things but still have a slight misfire", them: "it's gotta be the engine harness, it'll cost ya $1400".

I got a price on having ECU socketed and tuned, $800.. seems a lot for a few hours labour.

I dunno, whoever I've been speaking to there seems as opinionated and dismissive of the customer's knowledge as Dave at Precise.

    You probably spoke to Ken.

I actually kind of like that he's opinionated and speaks his mind. Basically he seems to tell it how it is based on what he knows. I'd rather that then some salesperson type character like Nissan Service seem to employ.

Funny enough you mention the harness thing. I had a big problem with misfire and nothing me or Nissan tried seemed to completely solve the problem. Ken suggested the wiring harness so I bit the bullet and got the job done. Since then the problem is completely fixed and my Z has never been better. I'm happy.

Oh and yes they're not cheap. They admit it themselves too.

Can anyone honestly suggest a better mechanic in Perth for a Z32TT? I'd like to hear it.

Can't say i've been to Hyperdrive

But whenever she needs a service i go to Kilnary Auto's, its pretty close to Presice in Wangara, would highly recommend them!
