Yeah, when I was assisting Matt the other day, we bled the Slave numerous times(and had good fluid flow)but still no movement from the Slave Actuator Rod. Several more attempts at the M/Cyl resulted in a "burp" from the M/Cyl bleed nipple, followed immediately by a firm Clutch pedal(and Slave Rod activity).:zlove:
Nice work Lloyd and Matt. It makes a surprising difference with two people helping the bleed process on a Zed clutch. I've always jacked the front of the car up on ramps and used a vacuum bleeder where possible. Makes for easy work, but when one isn't available it can just take ages!
Got to take it off again tomorrow to adjust the piece that comes out of the booster as it is to long since the master was rebuilt and is causing the clutch to slip even whe adjusted at the inner. wasnt doing this prior, arghhh. MattB
Either have I, I thought it was impossible. But it is noted in the service manual if the rod out of the booster is at the wrong height it can be adjusted.
I have only had to do this because (I chatted to Lloyd about this earlier today, beacuase when I took the master to be rebuilt, they were unable to find a rebuild kit for mine. Turns out it was different to the normal 300zx one. Yes even different to the one of Emilles and to the diagram in the factory manual. Not externally but internally. So a simple mod was made to fit a off the shelf kit, but this then meant I would have to adjust the input shaft. I tried at the peddle end and ran out of adjustment, so this afternoon I made the adjustment at the end of the shaft (7mm dome nut on end that goes into master). I have now bled it again and will see in the morn if it has worked as I took the afternoon off and drank beer, lol. Needed this as Chilli can attest to how over it I was this morning. The beer was great he he!!! On a good note it goes in to the panel beaters tomorrow to have the insurance repairs I have been waiting months for. MattB
