Can someone please give me a link to the right topic or explain here. I can't find this info out in detail. I just want to know everything I'll need to convert my auto zed to a manual. I have a wrecked zed to take it all from just don't know what to get out of it. The wrecked z isn't mine which Is why I want to know what to get from the guy. thanks.
For search purposes. - 5 sp transmission -Flywheel -Flywheel bolts -Clutch disc, pressure plate, throw-out bearing, pilot bushing -Pressure plate bolts, 9 required -Plates between motor and transmission -Front half of the driveshaft -Clutch booster, lines, and vacuum canisters -Clutch master cylinder -Clutch slave cylinder -Metal clutch hydraulic lines -Rubber hydraulic line -Clutch pedal -Brake pedal -Shifter/linkage with bushings -Shifter support -2 rubber shift boots -Shift boot and lower metal retainer -Shift knob -Alternator/transmission wiring harness
or what i used - 5 sp transmission -Flywheel + Flywheel bolts, 8 iirc -Clutch disc, pressure plate, throw-out bearing, pilot bushing + Pressure plate bolts, 9 required -Plate between motor and transmission -Manual tailshaft -NA Clutch master cylinder -Clutch slave cylinder -Full size braided clutch line (Thru caz or coz, etc) -Clutch pedal -Shifter/linkage with bushings (Short Shifter) -Shifter support -2 rubber shift boots -Shift boot and lower metal retainer -Shift knob You dont need the 'manual alternator harness', a quick look in the Factory Servive Manual will show you all you need to know. The auto brake pedal can be cut down to size. The clutch master is fine without the booster and all the vacuum hoo ha, And a braided clutch line eliminates the messy stock setup and leaves only 2 bleed points
