many have talked about it but has anyone actuall done it?
i've done many searches and spent countless hours reaserching this swap but there is no record of any z owner running lpg, turbo or n/a.
everyone filling up with optimax or ultimate these days must know the sting of $70-ish per tank so i'm going be the only person i know to go to gas on a turbo Z.

The following options have been considered the best but oppinions will be welcome-
100% conversion (remove fuel tank, lines, pump, inj's etc)
Bottle - 3 chamber 100L (will fit in F.tank space)
solid lines under car, fuel filler hole used to fit gas inlet (unnoticible)
dual injectors in hardpipes between intercooler and throttle body.
computer controled lpg injection via composer and temp converter using original ecu inj signals.
high flow rising rate pressure regulator (400hp capable)

conversion time is pending my trasnfer app but these mods will be carried out before march 06.

lastly - does any one know about the laws concerning 100% lpg cars and catalitic converters?

Im sure you still have to run cats on all gas conversions:wacko: but dont

know why on a full %100 gas setup:thumbsup::thumbsup:will wait and see how you go ,I might go down the same path:thumbsup::thumbsup:

It's good to hear that the tank wil fit in the present location, I was thinking of this the other day and my only thought was, where the hell will the tank go!? So for a 100%er no worries but issues if you were keeping the petrol option.

    Hope it works out

I dont know how much power your car will be limited to having though. There was talk on a proper conversion for turbocharged cars but power was limited to a flow rate of 35kw per injector or so.

I dont see why you would need cats, the very purpose they are supposed to be there for no longer applies. A lot of people run dual fuel setups so would definatly still need them.

    RACQ

Did an interesting article a while back about the number of K's one would have to do just to re-coup the cost of the conversion, not good. Still paying for gas, reduced mileage, in the paper today it was anticipated that fuel would go down to $40-$45 P/BBL. Has done it before. You young'ns wouldn't have seen it. Baz,Kzed, Candu know what I'm saying. I'd think a bit more about it before I committed to it. It could make an interesting thread. Any comments:unsure:

LPG works well with a high compression motor

You might just have the right combination with your
    NA running as a TT,

    Sounds like a plan!

But how reliably would it run? and Why in dual fuel setups do you have to run off the petrol tank every now and then?

I will wait and see how it goes, wouldn't mind doing it also!

I have also inquired, I got told about a direct injection LPG setup coming out, it may already be out! not sure!
