I've recently upgraded my rims from 17" to 18" and now the rear end just looks ugly high. The back tyres appear to have about twice the clearance of the front. Anyway, I was just wondering if those in Perth have any recommendations on springs/shocks and (probably more importantly) a reputable place I should take it to. I've heard that WA Suspensions in Osborne Park are good but I'd love to have any advice.

Sounds strange, is your car an import or aus spec? Our aus spec went fro m16" to 18" and the suspension sat high fora few days but it settled and its fine!

yeh i was at WA suspensions recently, they are definitely more than helpful, very friendly etc. thats the only place i tried though.
may be a case of having to look in the yellow pages and doing a drive round for quotes. i think they'll be your best bet though.
    cheers

Thanks. Yeah, I've spoken to them myself and they seem helpful and they're near my work too, which is nice. They suggested King Spings for the rears which seems like a common and reasonable option.

    krause007, my Z is a TT import.

just out of interest, how much did they quote you?
i was there recently, and just for the king springs supplied, it was $310. still deciding what to do, but i can get the springs for $280 from a mate.
    cheers

Just for the rears they quoted me $350 inc fitting and 4 wheel alignment. It'd be $600 all up for front and rear together, but my front seems fine to me (although I believe my bushes have seen better days).
