    Hey guys...

Now that i've got my Z running again looking at getting some handling improvement mods for suspension...

    Thinking rear strut brace

    Coilovers

    Master bushing kit

    Rear spacers

    Sway bars?

Idea is to lower an inch or two, roll the guards...don't want ridiculous low...just enough to be aesthetically pleasing while not sacrificing handling....

Opinions and thoughts would be appreciated cheers...

Btw already have front strut brace (one piece)

    Fender braces

    Nismo front tension rod bushings

Any lower than 25mm from stock and you are sacrificing the handling.:p
IMO your better off buying good shocks and springs to suit your needs rather than cheap coil overs for the same money

Only go as low as the minimal legal cearance for NSW, don't give the cops a chance.
There is no better win than the cops not being able to find anything wrong.
The roads in NSW are crap, don't destroy your car for asthetic looks.

+1. Never been happier the moment I raised my zed. Ever been comfortably driving and the feeling that you never have to worry too much about scraping the underside through humps and bumps... just priceless! Pure zed enjoyment! Plus never been a fan of prioritizing cosmetic over performance hence why I upgraded turbos first and did the 200k service even before worrying about my faded wiper arm and torn driver seat. :D

I'd be working on suspension upgrades and chassis stability next...

    Agree

with all of the above, and in my case I've removed all the after market suspension components, except shocks and springs, and gone back to stock all round, couldn't be happier (Nismo front tension rod bushings) do it, good move.

Coilovers just to firm everything up a little, sway bar bushings, and subframe bushings as well

My car pretty low and with the wheels it has now, handles like dog balls compared to a little low and my old wheels/ stock

Agree with Mikey. Anyone that says different is bullshitting. Don't care what you say.

    Bullshitting.

All you young ones with your hella flushes and your contact patch the size of a 5c piece ought to be ashamed of yourselves for wanting to look cool. :p
Back in my day, you'd try to kit the speed bump as fast as you could, without spilling a drop of your bundy and coke, instead of having to kick out the missus and get out the wooden planks so you can drive out of the maccas drive thru

Haha I'm not that bad, I agree, my car is no where near the best handling car in the world, but I'm not claiming otherwise :p

Id much rather cruise on the freeway with the roof off than rocket round a corner

    Anti 14.7 x 14.7 = 44.1

For anyone's reference, the standard roll center is set for standard ride height. Lowering it at all will start to ruin the roll center. Great for reducing drag, bad for mechanical grip.

I've noticed the mods so far make a big difference when cornering...way less boaty and alot smoother when changing lanes etc....hmm maybe just lowering legal standards then + bushings and rear brace and sway bars...ill admit the front is already pretty low for a stock car IMO
