Has anyone had to re-register their Z after having it expired for 12 months or more? If so what hoops were you made to jump through? I'm a bit paranoid of getting it knocked back due to mulitple reasons, and I'm just curious what people had to go through in order to get their Z back on the road that has been unregistered for a long period. Owners in QLD would be useful but any experiences in Aus will do incase I have to drive elsewhere! lol
In Vic , you would have to get another roadworthy check done by a mechanic shop to re-register it. Take the forms in and show the roads people that it passes, they have a quick squiz , and off ya go ....
(NSW) my Z was out of rego for two years, I got a blue slip (checked engine, Vin numbers, etc...) and paid for my rego with no problems, Cheers Ziggy
Wow is that all? I basically had that done already because it was previously registered in a different state. Well that makes it easy then, I'll get the same guy to do it that did it last time! Transport didn't look at it though, I can only hope they dont again because the windows are a tad dark and she's a bit low, loud and you know the story! lol
Just take it for a roadworthy certificate. You can go pay your CTP insurance at an RACQ branch and just drive it to the mechanic. Once you get the tick from them you just drive to the QLD Transport office and fill in the paperwork. Easy.
