isn't that a 240Z? I thought 260s had longer arses and squarer rear quarter windows.

240z, 260z and 280z (which was never delivered to AUS) all share the S30 platform. The only difference is the engine with the 280z being a carbied L28.

    The 280zx is an S130.

Most 260Z you see are 2+2 the 2 seater version is obviously shorter.

that makes a bit more sense. i've never seen a 2 seater 260 and assumed they were all 2+2s.

Read a write up about a guy who got an old Skyline from Japan, while looking for a car he came across some real doozies that on initial inspection looked OK, apparently they dont mind covering nasty stuff up so you end up with cars that can look real good but have bad structural problems hidden. Probably like most used car markets around the world.

The point is that although these cars can look great in a photo if you are serious about importing one you really need an agent over there working for you.

I think the guy who started this forum does this sort of stuff.

280ZX had the more angular shaped window and kind of resembles a Z31 from the rear, and a 260 from the front (headlights etc).

Even the 2+2 260Z has the "flick" in the rear 1/4, but this was lost in the 280ZX (the runt of the litter)

The stylish rear 1/4 was also lost from the Z31, Z32, and Z33 but made a return in the Z34 in the form of a pointless "port hole" not large enough to see out of. but its there, as a throw back to the origins of the Z car and nothing else.

lol Nissan marketing at its finest! The 370Z resembles the 240Z about as much as a gumboot does...
