This year will see the inaugural running of ?LapZ at the Lake?. It has already attracted a massive amount of interest from our members and their friends just through word of mouth. In short, the club is attending a sprint series session at Lakeside Raceway, on Brisbane?s northside, on Sunday the 17th of October and we want YOU to come along and watch our fellow club members sprint around on undoubtedly one of the best racing tracks in Australia. You will not be disappointed.

We have 36 Z and ZX,s entered, some of them double entered, so 40 on the track on the day and another 20+ Datsuns/Mazdas/Toyotas running. This is a great chance for you to come out and see these cars on this historic track throughout the day.
**unfortunately there are no race spots left, but definitely go out and support the Zed community**

Lakeside Raceway has some fantastic vantage spots for viewing the cars on the track, where you can get extremely close to all the action. You will be able to walk around the pits to check out the cars and say hi to the competitors. The Race Track Cafeteria will be open selling the usual hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and drinks on the day.

For those that bothered to scroll down this far......

This is a Z Car Club Queensland organised event. Those interested in not only Zed motorsport, but a great social club, it's definitely worthwhile to become a member. It'd be great to see more 300ZX's in the club.
If you do go, make sure you give the 2 series owners (especially David Robertson) a dig in the ribs and tell them how our 'Z's have that bit 'X'tra.
oh...... and tell the big guy racing the beaten up metallic blue 240 to lose some weight (ie. improve lap times) and buy some 45mm Webers.

check out the Club website at http://www.zcarclubq.org.au/

and they're not all old bastards either :)

Not exactly back, I'm living in Nashville, TN now :)

Still have the Zed in Australia, trying to work out whether to scrap it or not.

    Race spots available!!!!

If anyone would like to compete on 17th October Track Attack http://www.trackattack.com.au/2010/index.php?option=com_dtregister&Itemid=190 Lakeside still has spots available for $170.00. Apparently, the weekend after Bathurst is one of the most popular sprints of the year and ZCCQ already have 60 of the 100 spots filled, so if anyone is interested they would not want to stuff around.

Whats the latest on this one guys? I haven't heard any more updates, can we show a set of hands for the people who are going?

I shall be attending soon as this is on my front door and I'll see who else I can muster up, maybe I can get fate to come along as well! :br:

That track attack group has nothing to do with the three Z groups which are all sold out, two Z32's from here are competing, over 30 various model Zeds in total. No spectator charge for anyone, its free to look!

I'll be there with the novices. First time on a track and I'll be on well motorkhana'ed street tyres . Just there to have some fun, play with the SAW and maybe see if it's practical to get more involved in track events (without spending all the s30 restoration budget!)

I will be there to watch. Wilwood USA today(two weeks after I ordered) say they have lost my order for the brake rotors and they will not be sent until tomorrow, so no chance that they will be here by the weekend.

Sorry to hear that Martin, reckon you could have been in the top six by the way you have been going.

I was looking at being No1, but plenty of time to get into the 58secs bracket
