Knock/Detonation Sensor & Harness Genuine Nissan from Coz USA

A few people have been asking me about these so while we have the Series 2 PTU group buy happenning it makes sence to add these to it. The knock sensor is in a box smaller than a spark plug box and the harness isnt big either.

Price is $AU189 for the sensor and $AU35 for the harness on todays conversion rate.
Plus $20 freight,that should hopefully cover getting it into Australia and my cost to repost out to you.
Freight will just be shared between those who order.
Payment would need to be in by the end of the month so as not to delay the already running S2 PTU buy ETA.

Does the harness go from the top connector to the ecu?

 

The sub harness goes from the knock sensor to the car harness which

goes to your ecu.

I have found knock sensors on ebay for $USD68 .I have asked him for freight to send 5 for you guys that have expressed interest. Or you can buy direct..

There is an ebay seller with them for $USD68.00 you have found the

wrong seller! The guy who has them for $92 aussie dollars has 90 of them.

caz .. this guy's advert says they are good for 300zx, 1993 - 1998 .??

wonder about pre 1993 models ...???:unsure::unsure:

 

Its exactly the same part number, Nissan only list the one part number for

89-96 models. Im not sure why he has 93-96?. If anyone knows different please tell me as I have asked 3 different 'well informed' sources and all say the same.

Nice nail polish. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you have a boost

controller, boost jets and/or Different ECU, a det. sensor is a waste of time?

 

Thanks Baron . I'm thinking you are referring to your car not being able

to go into safety boost once you are controlling the boost, as in Jets or boost controller??
'Safety' mode also changes the fuel map your car operates on, not just limiting boost.Throws it into a very rich map.
This is how it looks after NA's as it cant limit their boost.
So long as the ecu is still Nissan based,the Knock sensor is relevent, chips ,piggy backs ect dont change its function.

Full aftermarket management still uses a knock sensor too I thought??? Not sure tho.

There is some good info in the Technical section on them. Mine is currently bypassed, but it was only a temporary measure till my engine/plenum had to come out.
