I've been following 1SickZ's build for some years now, and I'm always picking his brain for information. Anyway this is his latest run, we're pretty sure that it's the quickest time for a 5 speed Z31 ever recorded. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6N1w6prXius No spray either and factory rear end, would probably tickle the 8's with a live axle and nitrous! This is one stupid fast Z, he was kicked out for the day after that run because it was too fast for that days permitted maximum e.t and I think he's missing the required NHRA lisence too. Anyway enjoy!
Yeah, his old setup was 530rwhp/501rwtq. The clip of that pull is on my youtube channel here. A fair amount of work has put in since then, he estimates 700rwhp/520rwkw or there abouts. It was put on the dyno before that run but kept spinning it up, even with 3 people all putting their weight in the back! lol Maybe big bags of concrete and 20 more straps? haha I wish I had such problems... It used to be red, here it is as it stands now.
ahahah sleep much??? it looks tired.....though i would be too after running down a 1/4 mile in 8 seconds looks mean....
Ummm, I think it's just you! lol I was chatting to him last night and that run was done at low boost too, well low boost for his setup. The setup itself is good for around 3.5bar/50psi. He's in Florida too so the temps are extreme, it was 110F/44C air temps that day and track temps would of been even more. I can wait to see it run on a cold night at max boost.
far out thats very impresive.. anyone got a pic of the engine bay??? id be assuming it has one seriously HUGE turbo.. or maybe 2
Single turbo of course! No pics of the engine bay as yet. His old setup used a T4/T61E turbo, I forgot to ask what he changed over to. No doubt a T4 of some description. I'll have more specific details later on...
Ya, they're 275/50/15 Mickey Thomspon drag radials (11 inch tread width) on 15x10 wheels in the back which I think are Welds by memory.
