Took the risk and left my car in the street the other night and whoah and behold when I went to get in her in the morning I noticed she had been KEYED from rear to front! down one side! Why dont you ever catch the lil bastards in the act?? Its too deep to just be buffed out also...so Im gonna park her up and drive a bunky for awhile now...seriously pissed off!

ye.. assholes! i just had someguy punch in my rear tail light now im out of pocket to buy another also some douche stuffed my window up.. tried to break in.. couldnt brake the glass but left two fugly and massive grey marks on my window where he has hit it.. cant get it off.. time for a new window too
Dam, that has to be one of my worst nightmares!! I hate bastards who do crap like that! It'd definitely someone who is jeleous, who has a sad life and a bad job, just a lowlife! I remember a few years back, my dads parked his zed at a train station because my mum didnt want him to leave her's there while we went to the footy...came back and we could see from the train as we arrived that some theif had crowbard the door!! Thank god for alarms and immobilisers!! I think nothing was stolen, just about $1k of damage to the door...the locking mechanism hasnt been the same since! On the upside, just be thankful that your car is still there a car that hasnt moved that is damaged can be returned to the way it was, one that has been stolen might never be the same again
..... sorry to hear mate, whereabouts was this? what suburb? i park at claremont train station to go to uni, and i get nervous leaving there but my zed is my daily driver and i can't afford the fuel and parking to get to uni each day. makes me more nervous when my mates car had an attempted break in and he parks near me sometimes at the traino. cheers Jay
wankers mate....what can you say? sorry to here,hope you can claim insurance or something.....if you do decide to claim insurance key the rest of the panels yourself so you can have a full respray done......
I agree!....... Make it look like the whole car was keyed & get the insurance co to pay for a new respray??? ....but then again Khama can be a bitch!!......so maybe just claim the legit scratch & see how much the repair shop will charge you to do a 'cash in hand' job for the rest while they are at it?? Shouldn't be too much more???......car will have to go into the spray booth & oven anyway, which should be covered by insurance.....so it should hopefully just be the extra materials & their time??? My car is a daily driver.....my part time job while I'm studying is at Safeway......5 dents on my drivers side & 1 + a few scratches on my passenger side ......& still counting!!! & that's only because whenever possible I park the passenger side close up to a wall so no idiot can get near it!!! Luckily I plan to get a re-spray when I finish studying & get a 'real job'!!!! People have NO respect!!!!
One of the 1st posts I made on this site was in the wanted section for a drivers side mirror after some prick smashed it in a drive by...I heard the alarm and ran outside thinking 'theif' but just jealous vandals...I did a few laps of the local area hoping to run into them (apparently there had been a spate of incidences in the area) but to no avail (which was probably best for all involved, me included). Now my Zed is still sporting the battle wounds...wearing a gunmetal grey mirror on an otherwise burgandy Zed, it looks horrible but I don't have the time/money to have it sprayed whilst im at uni. People can be bastards especially when they are jealous, depending on your excess you might try and claim it...but im guessing it wouldnt be worth the excess+ loss of no claim bonus...which was the case with my mirror. Sorry to hear mate.

People at work know panelbeaters and touch up guys so...I should be right there but those lil pricks have still put me outta pocket a fair few hundred I reckon! Gonna buy an 800 dollar pintara to leave in the street..they can key the crap outta that if they want....funny thing is I reckon that wont be touched by anyone!lol

Full Respray Yeah my mates BMW got keyed down 1 side just like yours so he keyed the other side himself and got a full respray paid by insurance
Ive said it before and I'll say it again, just smile and imagine how miserable the cretins life must be to show such jealousy towards your car. Chances are that the turd will never get their life in order well enough to own nice things . And for the record I have had a celica and the zed keyd the entire length of the car.

don't worry, this kind of stuff always happens. i had mine egged last year with a few scratches and chips left on windscreen and doors probably from stones and what not being thrown... it's a pathetic and sad act to do such a thing to a innocent car that can't defend itself. if i was in the car @ the time, i would have made them pay on the Z's behalf by running them over. :zlove:
hey wolfe sorry to hear about that, but i kinda know how it feels, when i got my Z, it was only a few days after that some dickhead in a ute, scratched my back right hand side bumoer, with his freakin huge shit box. I still dunno how the hell he managed that, cause like the space i left him, you coulda parked 2 747s in it. Thats why i get paranoid when i leave my car parked in town. and if i do, i always try to park her next to a nice new car thats all shiny
ye i have had my car egged while cruising in the city.. had an aerial bent. tail light smashed. 2 ppl drive into my car and drive off. sum 1 tried smashing my window... sum 1 tried to break in and lifted the seal off.... sum 1 hit the back of my car near the exhaust with something and the paint flaked off..... all this in 1 year of owning the z and having it on the road for 5 months.. so basically all this happened in 5 months.. my z loves to get smashed.. ill fix her up then sure enough something happens a few weeks later..... of and ROFLMAO at the run them over comment haha
