Just outta interest..what would U pay for my Z

Just wondering...cuz even tho i'll never sell it...my dad keeps on pestering me to get a normal car haha...and jokes to me to sell it!

What would the going price for my Zed be? Gets garaged every night, never gets driven in the rain unless im out already, gets washed twice a week and detailed, and routine service every 4-5,000km. You can view all the specs and mods in my garage. All parts were installed by our local Zed specialist in the last 2 and a bit years and I have ever reciept from a service to tyre changes. So EVERY piece of documentation I have. No parts listed were bought Second hand! only Brand spankin new!

So seriously what would the going price be?

If i may ask... you only young right? how did you manage to pay for all that? what do you do? or your parents do etc?? lol... thats serious stuff there. And sorry but im not sure how much i'd pay for it.

 

Sadly a car being washed 2 times a week doesn't add any value lol There's a local Z specialist in Tassie? Now that's a new one!

With all those mods I could see you getting 15k-18k maybe a tad more to the right buyer.

Being in Tasmania, and 300ZX's not being as common as in other states I'd say you could find a buyer willing to pay $20,000+

No sh!t washing a car twice a week doesn't add value, but it shows the car has been extremely well looked after, which DOES add value.

The only thing your car needs is a decent tune Ben, which is almost impossible to get in Tas

I've always wondered what I'd get if I ever considered selling my Z, and I wouldn't like to part with it for anything under $23,000.

 

you would have no troule getting that sim....but as long as you have only wondered....not actually thinking about selling lol or i would have to come down there and :bash: you on the head...even though you have massive muscels and would beat the sh!t out of me

realistically i would say 16-18k and would take a while to find the right buyer

The real problem with your car

.. and a lot of people will flame me for this... is that it is a 2 seater. If it were a 2+2, I think $20k in that condition would not be unreasonable, and you would sell it in a heartbeat.

If you look on drive.com.au or carsales.com.au, uniquecars, etc, etc, or even on Zeds for sale on this forum, the cars that stay unsold are 2 seaters. Having looked at all those websites over an extended period for a really decent TT manual 2+2, I came to the conclusion that the reason there are so many 2 seaters for sale, that stay listed month after month after month is that no-one wants them.

That my view anyway.

 

2 seaters are in theory,more desirable

based on the fact that they are rarer and therefore,harder to come buy....unfortunately that only works in theory,because value at the average age(17 years old) of these cars should be,and in most cases is,dependant on condition,wear and tear and modifications performed....
look at the for sale section here and you get a really good overview of the zeds in australia.....most seem to be 2+2's,and a large percentage of that autos...nothing wrong with that,by the way!!!
a tt manual slicktop should be the rarest by far,hence why you rarely see them for sale and slicktops in general are quite rare.....
i would be happy to purchase a slicktop,but in my 2 month search i saw only one and it was a complete bucket of s%$t :zlove: and it was a na auto,which didnt appeal to me given the cars condition....
i think the reason the 2 seaters sit on car sales is because they are a little less practicle being only 2 seats....that being said in the 18 months of ownership (or theres about) ive only had rear seat passengers maybe 10-15 times.

 

When i was looking at buying a TT

back when I sold my NA....I had the choice of putting down a winning bid on a PHAT widebody dark purple 2+2...it was on prestige motorsports bout 2 years ago...but I didnt...I love the 2 seater down pat and wouldnt change.

Im gonna get flamed on this...but TRUE sports cars only have 2 seats hahah....nah I love the 2+2 aswell just as much...just like the 2 seaters stance better
