I've wanted a spare set of wheels for the car for ages and always kept my eye out for a cheap set going second hand but all the cheap ones I found lately where pretty crap, and since I needed 18"s it did narrow the field slightly. Since I have to buy new tyres in the next 3 weeks (Aust. Championships comming up) and with a little bit of life left on the old ones I decided to bite the bullet and get new wheels to put the new rubber on, leaving my old wheels as spares, or to be used for fun/play days.

Trawling through fleabay I came accross a nice set of 18"x8.5 and 18"x9.5 with 30 and 35 offsets (super flush) and with a price of just $800 I couldn't pass them up. Picked them up yesterday and ordered tyres ($2,200, 18" R-Comps aren't cheap), the hardest part was deciding between the grey or bronze.......

I remember when they were released through Access Autoworks a few years ago now, well over $1000 new.
    Nicely priced these days.

Nice wheels indeed Pete, I believe Ron has the same with his street tyres.

I have actually seen these wheels develop cracks/fractures something to watch out for especially if they are your track rubber.

Yes, they are the same as the ones Ron has and that UAS sells. Thanks for the tips about the cracks, I'll keep an eye on them.
