    Hi everyone!

After forgetting to for a while, thought I'd finally sign up and share my Zed!

Short bit about me first, Kieran, 20 years old and studying in Melbourne. Grew up with my dad working as a mechanic for a few years, so naturally, I caught the bug and now have a full blown obsession with cars (and bikes!) :p

Anyway, saw my Zed on the Manheim auctions website back at the end of 2012 and fell in love. It was a write off at the time, with damage to the passenger side sill, front and rear guards, door and the bonnet too. Paid $1500 for it at the time. Got a nice little surprise when I picked it up, as it was listed as a N/A, but was actually a TT! Couldn't drive it like that as I'm on my P's, but the motor had a bit of a knock and was down on boost pressure too, so it wasn't too sad to put an N/A in. I thought about selling it at the time, but I couldn't bare the thought of getting rid of it :p I would have posted pictures of all that, but my lovely Macbook decided it didn't like working anymore and I lost ALL photos of my car

Spent a good amount of money and time fixing it up, including putting an imported N/A from a halfcut in it with only 82000kms on it! Did nearly all the work myself, other then paint and replacing the sill, as it needed to be cut out and welded back in, and I just don't have anywhere near the skill to do that haha!

So after about 10 months of work, I'd had it on the road for about 2 weeks, and was about to do a bit of a write up on here when this happened...

Got hit by a lifted Ford Ranger on my way home from work :( Didn't look too bad at first, but after a closer look, the radiator support had been crushed a fair bit. No damage to any suspension or other vitals though luckily! So after another 6 weeks off the road, I finally have it back again! :D

Still fairly stock for now, but I've got plans for it for the future!

    Current mods are;
    Megan Racing Cat Back system
    KYB shocks and springs
    NISMO cluster
    Some form of Shift Kit
    Drilled and Slotted front rotors

There was also some form of fuel controller and chip on the TT ECU, and I may put that back on when the inevitable TT conversion comes once I'm off my P plates!

Plans for the near future will be bigger wheels, coilovers, fix the tint, and I'm sure there'll be a lot more mods as time goes on! Doubt I'll do many power gain mods to the N/A, as they'll all just end up going once the TT conversion happens! :br:

That's me anyway! Looking forward to hopefully joining in with more stuff on here as well as meets and (hopefully) the next Zedfest!! :)

:D Welcome to the disease we call " Z herpes " once you got it, you can't get rid of it.

Nice clean car, and good price to start off with, considering the damage.

Great effort getting it fixed back up,and hopefully whilst awaiting your opens, you build a nice TT Engine, to drop back into it .

Already got big plans for the TT motor! Will all just depend on funds hahah. :p But I've still got plenty of time until my full license, so we'll see what happens!

    Nice looking Z

definately a few different shades of grey in the bodywork but regardless, I've always been a fan of the grey Z's

That is a very nice example, and a tribute to your enthusiasm. Not sure about putting bigger wheels on it, it seems to have quite adequate sized items ATM(it's a misnomer that bigger is necessarily better). You can quickly reach a point at which larger rims/tyres can become a detriment rather than an improvement on these cars.
If it doesn't handle as well as you hoped it would, it is more likely to be inadequate/poor choice of tyre brand rather that too small a wheel rim.

    Hasten slowly, and have fun.

I think it's just my crappy iPhone photos making it look like different shades! In person the paint all matches up great!

    Thank you!
To me the handling is fine at the moment! I'm just keen on some different style wheels, and I've only found them in 18's so far! It'll still be a while until I actually throw any cash at them though, working and studying doesnt leave a whole lot of spare cash for parts haha!

Don't say that too loudly, Zeds love money(and they love it more when they know you have little of it).LOL:zlove:
