Jumping TPS voltages

    Hey guys

I have just noticed on ECU talk that my TPS voltage on idle will be anywhere from 0.4 to 0.5 and when driving it will flick around for a while before it settles.

When only slightly accelerating it may jump up to 4.3 or around there before settling back to 1.1 or thereabouts which is actually where it should be.

Is it on the way out? Also can it fail and leave me on the side of the road?
Lastly I believe you cannot swap between auto and manual, but what about between n/a and TT?

    Merry xmas
    Matt.

no difference between auto vs manual.

shouldn't be doing that, its not on its way out its already stuffed.

give a clean and/or see if you can borrow one and see if you get different behaviour via ecu talk just in case its not the tps.

tps is linear to your accelerator pedal. should only jump if your foot does:br:

with respect to how you car will behave it it goes completely, disconnect you tps and see how it goes, cause I can't remember:p

At idle with your foot completely off the pedal it should be 0.44v

    Nowhere near 1.1.

Your TPS is stuffed, just get a working replacement
