Dolphin slaughter ... This photo was taken on October 6 this year and provided for publication by the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. It shows Japanese fishermen in a boat loaded with slaughtered dolphins in a cove in Taiji harbor, in Japan's Wakayama prefecture. The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society documented the slaughter of dolphins to highlight an "international day of protest against the Japanese dolphin slaughter", which began yesterday. The photographs and video of dolphin slaughter released by the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society have brought international condemnation over the seemingly cruel methods used to slaughter dolphins, whose meat is destined for supermarkets. Japan describes the criticism as cultural imperialism. Next time you eat a steak think about what an abattoir looks like as they process your cow!I hate killing of dolphins and whales too but why is killing a dolphin worse than a cow?Whales however in their depleated numbers should never be killedor farmed.bon apatite :-0
Its terrible, but... Dont make the mistake of thinking that all japanese support this. Millions upon millions of Japanese are against this and their are still protests against such things. Let me also assure you that it wont make it to supermarkets across the nation. All of these 'delacacies' are sold in very exclusive restaurants at high prices. Its popular amoung the old guard, but most younger japanese below 35 or 40 are against such things. Anyway, just my 2 cents
