Hey guys time has come to start looking at springs, especially since the dollar is so good at the moment. Basically from what ive read here on the forums and after speaking to other zed peeps it seems that eibach are the way to go. After looking at the stuff coz stocks he also has tein springs for a similar price. Basically i want to know the difference between these three products and what will suit me best. Ill be partnering these up with KYB Excel-G/GR-2 shocks from the group buy. Also what's the difference between the two tein springs, the H and S tech? Eibach Tein H-Tech Tein S-Tech Cheers guys! :br: EDIT: oh... i have heard that kings springs aren't that great which is why im not really looking at them, any comments?
eibachs. tein springs are nothing special. overpriced too IMO. the S techs are stiffer but also offer a bigger drop over the H techs.
I don't really like my tein's, hardly any spring at all. Handles great but I find it very uncomfortable. Edit, i though you we're talking about coilovers for some reason. Nevermind.
I have Tien H-tech springs with KYB excel G's. The H-tech springs are not progressive rate springs whereas the S-tech are. Tien claim a height drop of 20mm on the fronts & 6mm on the rears for the H-tech's. I noticed no height drop on mine, looks stock ride height to me which is exactly what I wanted. Tien claim a height drop of 35mm on the fronts & 21mm on the rears for the S-tech's. H-tech are gold in colour & S-tech are green. S-tech's have a firmer spring rate over the H-tech's.
You might find no height change if you have the original springs and they have sagged a bit. I put eibachs in my NA with adjustable KYB's and they were great. Also didn't notice a drop either.
