Not going to rabble on much, just thought i'd let everyone know hehe Well what can i say, after all this time getting bodykits, respraying, etc etc, finally my motor goes in Tom aka Zrated, calls today with the great news that its finally done, after many months of prep, delays (from myself due to other committments), etc, finally its good to be back driving a decent car again haha Basically a massive thank you obviously goes to Tom - Zrated (PerthZPerformance), without a shadow of a doubt, very lucky to have this man over here in WA working on our zeds, quality worksmanship overall, very difficult to beat!, even after he handed me the keys wants to check up on it at certain intervals down the track to see how its going and to fix up the "gremlins" and what not which are associated with a massive project like this, shows his professionalism as a person as well as a buisness, two thumbs up from me, it was well worth the wait Also massive thank you to Josh - loud n proud for helping me transform the zed to how it looks now, champion, need i say more.... Also special mentions go to JamesZX and Draco, u know what u guys done, especially James who helped work on it and took great photo'sand everyone who helped during the last couple of months of going to the workshop and giving a hand, much appreciated Alright now about the engine, some of you would remember, a long time ago, bought a second engine, was going to rebuild it, but due to lack of funds, cut losses and sold it, what happened next was, tom msg's me saying he has sourced an excellent halfcut which could be used as a replacement, we get it in, have a good look at it, and seems to be in reasonable condition, now Tom can confirm, there is a possibility that this engine has already been rebuilt! (to a certain extent). Without pulling it completely apart, could see it has new plugs, been acid dipped or whatever, new seals, etc, so a bit of TLC was given to it in its previous life. But from early inspections seems to be not too shabby but driving it tonight seems like a completely new car, very happy with it!. Its like a TOTALLY different car.... Basically mods and work on it thus far Full 100k service, new everything Plenum pull FMIC stock turbo's, "near new", above average condition (hmmm we'll just have to wait and see ) Extreme machines clutch UAS superlight chromoly fly PZP dumps and test pipes UD pully Caz's SS hardpipes etc etc can't remember the rest but u get the idea lol But yeh its getting late here and got work at a rediculous hour at work 2moro so pictures will speak louder than words And finally The guy on the right, who made it happen, the guy on the left, who gets to drive it :zlove: :zlove: Over and out Mike
so with that forsale sign sticking outta the roof... how much you want for it? $2?? hahaha.... serious note: mate hope you enjoy it, was fun to go and learn on such a project like this. thanks for the opportunity, to tom aswell for putting up with me loosing his 8mm socket lol!! but the car is now what youve always wanted it to be, give it some tlc and some more boost soon and you'll be driving round with a and fluttering her near pedestrians haha...:zlove: :zlove:
Nice Mate, Will be seeing you next event then! Once you've had the TT I doubt you'd want to go back...
Welcome... ...to the club... We've been waiting for you... Well done mate. I'm glad for you that it's all over and you can breathe a sigh of relief. I know it was getting to you and you seemed a little stressed out last time we spoke, but I bet it's worth the wait and now it's one more thing out of the way...I think you must be really happy with the car now...you've done all the major things that you wanted to do and I know the Turbo conversion was probably the highest priority for you with the car...so I'm happy for you that it's done now and you can enjoy this car the way it was meant to be... The boys and I will help you with the interior as well so don't worry about that brother...will give me something to do... So how much power are you pulling now? What boost are you running? Cheers Rob.
Welcome to the world of fun and adrenalin Miksta. Tom your shirt is the same as the Z shirts I made. I don't think white joggers is a good look for a grease monkey either
HURRAH!!! well done mikey, we knew it would happen but it did take a while..... welcome to the world of boost and auto salon glory
Looks good man. See ya at the next cruise. Seeing huge projects like this coming off well is awsome (and stops me moaning about my torn leather and leaking seals lol)
