I started the motor and noticed that at idle the passenger side of the pipe is sucking air like mad while the Driver side pipe is almost not sucking at all! I mean "Next to nothing".

When the throtle is opened quickly, but only a little, only then the Driver side started sucking air just like the other side.

I thought each bank would suck in the same amount of air at idle, or at any time really. Why the difference?

There are no weird sounds comming from the motor.
The turbos are about 1.5yrs old (been rebuilt/highflowed etc... thrust bearinged)

    (Boost leak?)

    It just don't add up.

Remove the air supply hose to each throttle body and check

if they are both closed, also both clean.

    Cheers, Dean

PS. Don't start without filter in place

I know, the car was not mobile and the environment was clean.

But I'm glad I did it b/c it may have highlighted something that perhaps may not be OK.

So if one throttle body is slightly more open than the other

or more clogged perhaps then this will happen?

The difference though between the two in the amount of air being sucked in is HUGE.

I have cleaned the throttle bodys numerous times before it is easy to do perhaps they need it again.

I don't get any hesitation though which can be associated with filthy throttle bodies.

Perhaps the little holes underneath the throttle bodies used for vacuum may be blocked.

My service is comming up soon, I will clean the trottle bodies and give these tubes a clean if possible - who knows.
