Looking for some advise regarding a brake upgrade kit, the kit below from the US seems to take the cake thus far.

    Includes:
Front & Rear Rotors (Cross-Drilled or Slotted) Front & Rear Stoptech Performance Pads Front & Rear Stoptech Brake Lines and 3 Bottles of Motul Racing Fluid

This kit will be landed at my door for $860. The big killer is postage, however can anyone else see any compairable products from an Australian supplier?

RDA slotted with decent pads would be a good upgrade over stock and pretty cheap. Stoptech no doubt have a higher quality of rotor but at a premium.

I think someone was selling some hawk pads here not too long ago. Coupled with the rotors, you'd be looking at around $300tops for the front. Add a chili brace too for a less spongy feel to your braking.

The rear, I wouldn't bother with too much...but that's my opinion. The front takes the brunt of all your hard braking... :)

The stop tech kit seems like great value for a full setup tho...

Sorry don't know of any cheaper alternatives but some things to consider.

Will Coz ship brake fluid? I seem to recall that he wouldn't / couldn't. If the brake lines are not ADR compliant you may also have issues with insurance (in the case of a claim) and getting over the pits if you ever have to.

personally wouldnt bother bringing in something like that, for something around that setup id just get some rda slotted rotors locally. get some qfm street pads locally. some good brake fluid locally. and brake lines ... prob cost you about 650 locally for the whole lot and i dont think you would notice much of a difference if any at all...

Cheers Evz, I have never thought about how mods to my car could cause issues with insurance. I guess upgrading my brakes should help me avoid any collisions....

those brake lines are NON-ADR approved. meaning you can get defected for them, you wont pass the pits with them on.

get some maltech Adr approved brake lines and dba or rda rotors locally
